Price Announces Teen Leadership Academy in July

Hey Teens!  What are YOU doing this summer?
Are you interested in making an impact on your community?  Are you interested in learning more about careers and opportunities? Do you want to learn more about what it takes to be a good leader?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, this Summer Academy is for YOU!

Who can apply?
Students ages 12-17 who are residents of Newport News or Hampton may apply.

When will we meet? 
The program runs from July 5-29, 2016, Monday-Friday from 9am-2pm, at Ivy Baptist Church.
Some days will include field trips!

What can you expect?
Interesting guest speakers 
Exciting Fieldtrips
A safe and Fun learning environment
Workshops in topics like Leadership Development, STEAM, Advocacy, Safety, & Career Readiness
An opportunity to share your ideas and plan for your future
Hands-on activities
Empowerment and encouragement
At the end of the program YOU will be able to help write legislation to impact your community!

What does the $100 fee cover?
EVERYTHING.  Each participant will be provided a safe and educational environment, stimulating activities, lunch daily, materials for projects, travel for fieldtrips, and exciting surprises along the way; all for $100.  There are some scholarship opportunities available as well! Inquire for more details.

We will notify all applicants of their status by June 2, 2016.  The $100 fee will be due on
June 15, 2016 for all who have been accepted into the program.
